Hey folks, welcome to this little project. I don't normally talk about thought processes and inspirations in the comments box, but I think it's a worthwhile endeavor here. Think of it as an audio commentary, except with text. |

I chose Bushie as the main character for this particular book. It's a choice I made because he is the friendliest enemy encounter in the Sunshine Forest and I felt people who have not played the series could easily identify with him. |

With the other characters here I should talk about the artstyle. This was chosen as a combination of factors. I found it appealing, and I also figured it would set it apart stylistically from a lot of the other offerings. You'll notice that only the main characters or those that interact with Bushie are coloured in. This is a focal conceit. |

The Ramblin' Mushroom here does not factor into the story, so he has not been brought to full attention. This technique also lets me populate the Forest with other creatures without stuffing them down someone's throat. It shows that other stories are unfolding all around this one, and a kid can extrapolate the stories themselves. I think this benefits a story that otherwise directs you from beginning to end. |

Uh oh, what's all this then? There are a few hooks like this that will have later consequences. Though there is an overarching plot there are a few lessons along the way. |
