The cactus wolf is a strange hybrid, built to stalk and guard unfettered and unfatigued in the burning sun of the desert. The waxy cacti keep it hydrated and cool, the canine components keep it well fed. Truly a fearsome beast, it stalks its quarry through the desert - tormenting them until they drop. A memento mori of the bare mortality evident in the desert wastes.

Anyways folks, thanks for taking a looksee at this book. It was a spontaneous idea that I had to get down on paper before it left me. So I had a lot of it ready before I began any work. I love a lot of media like this so it reflects on a number of sources. In the end, it's not quite so dark at all. I know the subject matter is meant for kids, but I hope you've enjoyed our little romp.

And we're approaching resolution at this point. I'm kind of a fanboy of Morton so even though Bushie is having a brilliant time, I am invariably drawn to him. Anyways, I think this page accomplishes what it was supposed to. The others are getting curious of Bushie fraternizing with the Big Bad Drago.

The clouds are dissipating now, and I actually call attention to it in the text. This is Bushie's apology.

But in Drago's shadow Titany feels quite small, so the art reflects this. I didn't give Drago the same treatment as Titany on the previous page because I wanted him to retain a degree of purity. Notice that the sun is breaking through the clouds in the background.
