Mother 3: Symphony: Ch1 P9 |
m3symph - #09
A brief delusion of Ionia appears, again accusing the Masked Man of murder. Angered by it, the Masked Man growls at the Magypsy to get out of his head; Laurah hears this and is confused. The Masked Man simply tells her to disregard what he said, and gets ready to go.
Oh, doodie. I forgot Masked Man's scars in Panel 2.

Suited up for Pigmask Army-commanding, the Masked Man has barely any trace of who he once was left in his appearance, save for a few locks of carrot-colored hair poking out from under his metal helmet.
Oh yes, the classic one-panel page. Usually signifies something epic happening... or about to happen.
And yay, tenth page! Time to celebrate double-digit page numbers... by making more pages! * Merkie gets back to drawing... *

Locria |
My version of how Locria looked like before she... well... decided "Screw this, I don't wanna be a part of the Magypsies no more".
My old design had this massive dress on, but then I decided that perhaps something which is lighter-weight and shows a bit more skin would be more comfortable to wear in the desert. (Since Locria, apparently, had her shell in the desert area of Nowhere before the betrayal.)
Say hi to the mousie. Nwehehehehe~♥

Cut away to another area.
The mystery blonde boy leads a girl, a man, and a dog towards the sixth Needle...
Note: They aren't wearing masks, their faces are shadowed and their eyes are blurred out, because the Masked Man doesn't recognize them yet. If you're wondering, yes, I like me some odd symbolism.

Meanwhile at Chupichupyoi Temple, the Pigmask Army is trying to reach Ionia's Needle, but it seems the Clayman they are using to break the vines is insufficient. Losing patience, the Masked Man blows the Clayman to oblivion with his cannon and prepares to take on the task himself.
Poor Clayman... making his first and last appearance in my comic... didn't live to see another page.
